Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District is seeking a Part-time Technical Services Manager (20 hours per week) to support conservation efforts across Hancock County. The role involves fieldwork, site assessments, and providing technical guidance to landowners, groups, and volunteers to meet conservation objectives.

The ideal candidate has field experience in water and soil testing, knowledge of erosion control practices, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualificações

• 4 Year Degree or relevant experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Erosion Control Best Practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct conservation fieldwork and site assessments to develop site plans and recommend conservation practices.
• Provide technical guidance to landowners, groups, and volunteers to meet objectives.
• Assess soil and water resource concerns and recommend best management practices.
• Conduct or oversee soil and water testing.
• Implement project work plans related to watershed protection and other priorities.
• Assist with grant writing, project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate project records, including fieldwork, progress, and logs.
• Prepare progress reports and grant documentation.
• Prepare and present monthly fieldwork reports to the Board of Supervisors.
• Work with volunteers and project partners as needed.
