Job summary

Richland Soil and Water Conservation District seeks a senior professional to manage conservation programs for Richland County. You will oversee projects, supervise staff and interns, and coordinate with federal, state, and university partners to deliver funding, education, and outreach.

You will develop materials, report on outcomes, and present results to technical audiences while aligning activities with county and state conservation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or related liberal arts field.
• Two years of professional-level experience in environmental, conservation, or historic restoration work.
• Knowledge of programs administered by the RSWCD, RCCC, RCCD preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and financial oversight for RSWCD projects and supervises staff and interns.
• Coordinates diverse project teams with state and federal agencies and university partners.
• Develops and conducts education programs supporting county conservation initiatives.
• Manages state and federal grant administration, budgeting and reporting.
• Develops educational materials and communicates results to technical audiences.
• Represents RCCD and RSWCD in conferences and workshops.
