Job summary

Sanders Brothers Construction is seeking a Soil Stabilization Operator to operate heavy equipment including rollers, brooms, and spreader trucks. Overnight travel across South Carolina may be required. You will support site leadership, maintain equipment, and help with general labor tasks on varied job sites.

The role emphasizes safety, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and travel up to six days at a time with per diem provided. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year construction experience required.
• Experience operating earth-moving equipment.
• Must lift up to 40 pounds and work up to 10 hours.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable 3-year MVR.
• Negative drug test before hire and background checks as per policy.
• Overtime, weekends and overnight travel may be required.
• CDL Class A or B is a plus.

Responsibilities

Soil Stabilization Operator - SO0926

The Stabilization Operator will be responsible for operating various pieces of heavy equipment including but not limited to rollers, brooms, spreader trucks along with supporting site development leadership, and other stabilization professionals as needed. This position may require overnight travel throughout the state of South Carolina.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide support to site superintendents, equipment operators, or other designated site development personnel.
• Maintaining equipment cleanliness.
• Travel to job sites within the state of South Carolina which may require overnight stay for up to 6 days at a time with daily per diem included.
• This will require maintaining a neat job site, movement of materials by hand or hand tools, and providing general labor support as needed.
• Keep company work site clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns.
• Comply with all SBCC policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform any other general duties as specified.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 0-1 Year of construction related experience.
• 0-1 Years' experience operating one or more pieces of earth moving equipment
• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable 3yr motor vehicle record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy.
• Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
• Must meet SBCC's employment standards with regards to background checks.
• Have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must have the ability to stand, sit, kneel, squat, push, pull, and climb for up to 10 hours
• Flexible availability to include overtime, weekends and overnight travel.
• Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.
• Class A or B CDL License is a plus
