Healthcare Linen Services Group in Memphis, TN is seeking a Soil Sorter to sort linen on a moving conveyor, pick soil linen and place it in the correct sling or cart, and follow standard operating procedures to meet quality and production standards.

This full-time, hourly role emphasizes punctuality, attendance, teamwork, safety, and the ability to work with a diverse workforce. Candidates must be able to stand up to 10 hours and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to sort linen.
• Must be able to bend, twist, lift and pull as required.

Responsibilities

• Sort linen on a moving conveyor belt and place soil linen into the correct sling/cart.
• Follow standard operating procedures to meet quality and production standards.
• Be punctual, maintain excellent attendance, and work safely with the team.
• Cross-train on other routes per production needs.
• Support supervisor/manager with duties as assigned.

PURPOSE : To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for the correct sorting of linen that has been placed on a moving conveyor belt in front of them. Picks up soil linen and places it in the corresponding sling/cart. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Be on time

• Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Cross-train on other routes per production needs
