Job summary

PureStar is seeking a dedicated team member for a linen processing role in Fort Washington, Maryland. The individual will be responsible for sorting, feeding, and maintaining linen quality and workplace safety. This non-exempt position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of the physical demands of the job.

Ideal candidates will have experience in laundry or housekeeping, be detail-oriented, and be able to follow directions effectively. A commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work area is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Stand for a minimum of 8 hours per shift.
• Able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort clean and/or soiled linen for processing.
• Feed clean linens through machines.
• Track production and maintain cleanliness.

Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for completing processing of linen to meet quality and efficiency standards.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Sort clean and/or soiled linen for processing
• Feed clean linens through moving belt folding machines
• Hand folds – manually fold small pieces of terry
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards
• Flat worker ironer, feeders, folders, shakers, stackers and wrappers
• Tie out – laundry ties bundles of clean, dried linen and terry
• Sort through linen products, depositing linen products into respective containers
• Prevent accidents by working safely as the highest priority
• Track production
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Notify Shift Manager of any mechanical or material issues
• Perform other duties as required
