Job summary

METROLINA GREENHOUSES LLC in Huntersville, NC is seeking a Soil Room Forklift Operator to join our outdoor production team. The role requires learning soil loading processes, operating cranes and material-handling equipment, and adhering to safety standards.

You will label samples, monitor inventory, handle 50-pound bags, and assist with production and machinery maintenance as needed. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience in manufacturing/warehouse settings.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment and material-handling gear.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills to navigate apps and enter data.
• Comfort with touchscreen tech, tablets, radios, and control panels.
• Inventory control or cycle counting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soil loads according to production schedules and specifications.
• Operate cranes and material-handling equipment to fill hoppers.
• Label soil samples for lab testing and quality control.
• Learn and operate automated control panels and enter recipes.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Clean and maintain soil-processing equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and production standards.
• Communicate issues to Crew Leader or management.
• Perform additional production and material handling duties as assigned.
