We are seeking a Mid-Level Soil/Geotechnical Licensed Engineer with FEMA Public Assistance experience to support disaster response and recovery projects. Responsibilities include conducting geotechnical assessments, site investigations, and preparing technical reports to ensure compliance with FEMA standards.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license with 5+ years of geotechnical experience, or 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 1 year of FEMA Public Assistance deployment experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform geotechnical assessments, soil evaluations, and site investigations.
  • Develop technical reports and recommend soil stabilization and hazard mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with FEMA and stakeholders on mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Conduct field inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM).
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments and FEMA grant software.
