Software Web Engineer - AOL (Reston, VA) (Finance)

About Us:

The Member Services team aims to create premium value for consumers, providing elevated experiences across our properties. As part of this team, you will support product strategy, roadmap, and execution to develop the next-generation subscription products, connecting members with their interests online. You will also contribute to ecosystem expansion and monetization strategies, focusing on managing, optimizing, and scaling inventory across our platforms.

Location Preference: Reston, Virginia - hybrid work environment

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and product teams, designers, and engineers to develop, launch, and maintain scalable applications and services.
• Develop software for platforms including e-commerce, product marketing, subscription management, post-purchase support, and customer service.
• Utilize cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance user experiences.
• Apply proficiency in JavaScript and Java, focusing on effective coding and design patterns.
• Develop, orchestrate, and deploy platforms and applications.
• Work in Agile environments, prioritize tasks, and drive projects to completion.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in building scalable applications and services.
• Strong skills in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), Java (Spring), and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Understanding of machine learning, including prompt writing and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tools like Docker, Jenkins, GitHub.
• Commitment to continuous learning and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

The salary range is $111,000 - $231,250 annually, depending on location, skills, and experience. Compensation may include bonuses or commissions and comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, 401k, childcare, education stipends, and more.
