Senior Software Engineer (Reston, VA) (Finance)

About Us

The Member Services team is dedicated to creating premium value for our consumers, providing elevated experiences across our properties. As part of this team, you will support product strategy, roadmap, and execution to build next-generation subscription products, connecting members with what they love online. You will also work on ecosystem expansion and monetization strategies, focusing on managing, optimizing, and scaling inventory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and product teams, designers, and engineers to develop, launch, and maintain scalable applications and services.
• Develop software for various platforms, including e-commerce, product marketing, subscription management, and customer support.
• Utilize cutting-edge generative AI technologies to enhance user experiences.
• Apply proficiency in JavaScript and Java, focusing on coding and design patterns.
• Develop, orchestrate, and deploy platforms and applications.
• Work in an Agile environment, prioritizing tasks and driving projects to completion.
• Communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building scalable applications and services.
• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring), Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of machine learning, prompt writing, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, and DevOps processes.
• Continuous learner with industry awareness.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $128,250 - $266,875 annually, depending on experience and location. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k), education stipends, backup childcare, and more. Incentive opportunities may include bonuses or commissions.
