Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies in Irvine, CA, are seeking a Software Technical Program Management intern to help integrate hardware and software across the development life cycle. You will collaborate with Electrical Hardware, Test and Development, NPI, and Product Development teams to plan and manage integration test assets for software milestones.

This full-time internship runs Sep 21 to Dec 18, 2026.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program at an accredited US university.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical teams in scoping and planning test asset needs using a systems engineering approach.
• Support prioritization of components for test assets based on software milestones and risk.
• Aid in software-hardware integration efforts during development activities.
• Coordinate verification test plans.
• Track and drive issues to closure within the software organization.
• Provide programs and management teams with progress updates.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and support their execution.
