Overview

The Software Tester II is an experienced team member who is looking to continue to grow in their software quality assurance career. As a part of the team, analyze and implement testing activities in support of the design, development, and implementation of large, complex PeopleSoft projects. Ensure the delivered software and documentation is adequately tested and meets quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teammates and clients in design sessions to translate user requirements into system requirement specifications.
• Write test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
• Plan and perform unit testing, functional requirements testing, and regression testing for sprint releases.
• Identify and prepare test data in support of test activities.
• Analyze, report, and track defects found during testing.
• Track and communicate project testing status to key stakeholders throughout the development process.
• Use best practices to test and deploy changes from staging environments to production.
• Ensure delivery of code and systems meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements.
• Support junior team members through training and mentorship.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:The following skills are desired for this position:

• 2+ years testing experience
• Thorough knowledge of the Agile development process
• Proficient in use of JIRA for requirements and defect management
• Experience writing and executing SQL queries
• Experience reading and editing XML files
• Experience with PeopleSoft software preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid judgement and decision-making abilities
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team

Education and Experience:This position prefers aBachelor’sdegree from an accredited institution, or relevant work experience. Experience with government and/or Department of Defenseenvironments preferred.

Clearance:Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
