Job summary

Softtest pays pty ltd seeks a QA professional to deliver testing and QA for a software release. The engagement includes manual testing, test planning, and coordination with product leads, developers, and the project manager.

The candidate will perform regression and end-to-end testing, create test documentation, and support User Acceptance Testing. Remote work with Australia-based eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Interacts with Project and Program Managers to provide status and progress.
• Good understanding of Software Test Lifecycle Process.
• Experience in Functional Testing (SIT/IST/UAT) and data migration verification.
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking and test management.
• Desirable: Selenium testing experience.
• Desirable: Python scripting for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Review in-scope manual testing requirements for DCH UI.
• Develop test cases and passing criteria with product leads and developers.
• Write test strategy, plan and traceability matrix for the project.
• Upload, update and maintain test cases in testing software.
• Perform regular manual shakeout, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Report bugs and discuss with developers and project manager.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.

Job description

• Contract start 13 March 2023 To 4 months.
• Eligible to work in Australia, Sydney, Remote work role.

Overview

The purpose of this engagement is to deliver the required testing and quality assurance for a piece of software before it gets released to a market. Some of the responsibilities includes but not limited to are below:

• Review in-scope manual testing requirement for Data Clearing Househttps://www.ihub.org.au/ihub-i... (DCH) user interface.
• Develop test cases and passing criteria to cover functional and non-functional requirements in consultation with product lead and developers.
• Writing test strategy, test plan and traceability matrix for the DCH project
• Upload, update and maintain test cases in testing software
• Performing regular manual shakeout testing, regression testing and system integration (end-to-end) testing before and after releases and bug fixes
• Reporting bugs and discussing with the developers and project manager
• Performing and coordinating User Acceptance Testing

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and the end date for the contract will be June 2023.

Essential criteria

1. Interact with Project and Program Managers on the project progress and provide status. Manage and oversee the testing within the team. Good understanding of Software Test Lifecycle Process.

Responsible for the Functional Testing (System Testing, System Integration and Data migration verification and testing).

Develop and maintain comprehensive Test Plans and Test Suites.

Ability to design test cases by understanding the business process.

Responsible for test execution, documentation and tracking

Identify repeat issues in projects and mark them for project wide analysis

Experience in using various Agile tools like Jira

2. High self-motivation and ability to work in a large matrix organisation.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable criteria

1. Experience in testing frameworks like Selenium

2. Experience with Python scripting language
