Job summary

Talent Shore Ltd. is seeking a Software Tester to ensure the quality of web-based applications across the development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify bugs and verify features in a fully remote environment. You will design and execute manual and automated test cases, perform various testing types, review requirements, and document results.

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance and testing of web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ability to read and understand PHP code.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and basic queries.
• Experience with Jira and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr or similar).
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for testing web-based applications across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify bugs, ensure feature quality, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases

• Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT

• Review product requirements and technical documentation to ensure test coverage

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing of web-based applications

• Familiarity with MariaDB/MySQL databases and writing simple SQL queries

• Proficiency with browser developer tools for testing and debugging

• Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira

• Exposure to test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or similar

• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus

Benefits

Location: Fully Remote

UK Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm

Salary Range: R50 000 - R60 000
