Job Description

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer for our team in Cambridge, MA. The position is for a duration of 4+ months.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the software development team to ensure proper testing, verification, and validation coverage.
2. Collaborate with internal and external developers and testers to meet quality expectations.
3. Lead testing, verification, and validation efforts and develop strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
4. Support continuous improvement through metrics and ensure visibility across projects.
5. Promote an Agile testing culture, working closely with developers and documenting verification protocols.
6. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and communicate them effectively.
7. Partner with other functions within the company to support initiatives on medical devices.
8. Model company values and positively communicate the company's vision and priorities.

Required Skills

1. Experience in mobile application testing, including iOS.
2. Experience with cloud-based deployment of medical software devices.
3. Knowledge of privacy, security, HIPAA, databases, SQL, Objective-C, and mobile apps.
4. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
5. Proven experience in software testing, verification, and validation.
6. Experience leading complex testing projects and managing testers.
7. Experience with test case management, automation, and tools.
8. Knowledge of white-box and black-box testing, server/cloud services, and database testing.
9. At least 3 years of UI testing experience on mobile and web platforms.
10. At least 2 years of experience in Agile development and testing.
11. Experience with design controls and compliance standards such as FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304.
12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
13. Demonstrated initiative, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Experience with software testing, mobile/iOS testing, FDA regulations, Agile methodologies, SQL, and validation processes.
