Job summary

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified Test Specialist to support the DISA JITC TEC II program, based on-site at Fort Huachuca, AZ. You will work with SCRUM teams and developers to ensure quality goals, design and execute test cases, and contribute to automated testing efforts.

The position requires a Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree with relevant math/IT coursework, plus an active or interim Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant technical curriculum or 30+ semester hours in math, IT, statistics including calculus.
• Must have Active or Interim Secret security clearance on hire date or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to write test procedures and review test data; ensure hardware passes all tests.
• Knowledge of manual and automated test execution processes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to convey complex issues clearly.
• Ability to collaborate with senior management, cross-functional teams, and customers.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to verify application features meet requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated testing scripts to improve coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Create performance test scripts to assess scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under load.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to communicate testing status.
• Identify, document, and track defects; coordinate with developers for timely resolution and re-testing.

Job description

T-Rex Solutions is seeking to hire a qualified Test Specialist to support our DISA JITC TEC II program. This effort is to support DISA’s mission to conduct DODIN operations for the joint warfighter to enable lethality across all warfighting domains in defense of our Nation. DISA provides, operates, and assures command and control and information-sharing capabilities and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of military operations.

The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) Test Evaluation and Certification II Services (TEC II) program is a new effort to provide technical solutions for the DOD in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) services and T&E enabling services. TEC Services are provided to DoD Combatant Commanders/Services/Agencies, federal and state agencies, coalition partners, and commercial entities to aid in the design, development, acquisition, integration, deployment, operational use, and sustainment of new and enhanced IT/National Security System capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teammates, SCRUM teams, software developers, and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Contribute to the development of performance testing scripts to evaluate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under load.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers to facilitate timely resolution and re-testing.

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience in a relevant technical curriculum or at least 30 hours in math, information technology, and statistics and must include Integral and Differential calculus.
• This position requires an Active or Interim Secret security clearance on hire date or the ability to obtain one
• Skills to write test procedures and review test data to ensure that hardware is tested properly and has passed all required tests.
• Understanding of manual and automated test execution processes.
• Excellent communications skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to write and present complex issues in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, cross-functional teams, internal/external customers, and end-users.
• Proficiency using MS Office 365 suite.

Desired Skills:

• Current TS Clearance is desired.
