Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons has an opening for a Software Test Engineering Product Owner 3 or 4 with an active clearance, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

The selected candidate will be on-site in one of the following locations based on preference: Northridge, CA; Linthicum, MD; or Tucson, AZ. Salaries are location-specific and may include relocation assistance.

The engineer reports to the program software IPT lead and is responsible for leading multiple software development teams.

You will be developing next-generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, gather feedback, and refine product requirements.
• Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in planning meetings, review completed work to ensure it meets acceptance criteria.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical insights, resolve challenges, and support the team in implementing solutions.
• Foster collaboration across disciplines and organizations to effectively solve problems and prevent issues.

Basic qualifications for a Principal Software Test Engineer (Product Owner) level (T03):

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 5 years of related experience; or Master’s and 3 years; or PhD and no experience.
• Experience as a Product Owner or similar role using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proficiency in Jira and experience with other project management tools is a plus.
• Experience with formal qualification tests and rigorous testing practices.
• Current US Government Secret security clearance within the past 5 years.

Basic qualifications for a Sr Principal Software Test Engineer (Product Owner) level (T04):

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8 years of related experience; or Master’s and 6 years; or PhD and 3 years.
• Experience in a product owner role, familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and testing practices.
• Current US Government Secret security clearance within the past 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clearable for a Special Access Program
• Experience with complex issue resolution, Flight Software, software and system architecture, and lab testing hardware.
