YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Member of a cross-functional team responsible for the development and maintenance of test cases; creation, execution and documentation of manual and automated tests; and working with software engineers, system engineers, platform engineers, system administrators, and other test engineers to validate development and maintenance activities.
  2. Collaborating with software engineers to develop effective strategies and test cases.
  3. Creating automated testing frameworks and test harnesses.
  4. Discovering, reporting, and tracking testing defects.
  5. Analyzing test results and reporting performance, load, and other issues using issues management tool.
  6. Developing, executing, and maintaining acceptance, integration, and system tests.
  7. Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life-cycle.
  9. Perform continuous functional and regression testing.

REQUIREMENTS YOU BRING:

  1. Experience designing, creating, and executing manual and automated testing solutions including analysis of results to determine adequacy of testing.
  2. Experience testing in Windows and Linux/CentOS environments.
  3. Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. behave!, SoapUI, Selenium, JUnit, JRunner, etc.).
  4. Experience with:
    1. Web communication protocols, i.e. JSON, REST, SOAP.
    2. Scripting languages such as Groovy, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
    3. Creating and managing cronjobs.
  5. Working knowledge of:
    1. JAVA,
    2. Lightweight Directory Access Protocol,
    3. Public Key Infrastructure,
    4. version repositories (such as Git, SVN, CVS, etc.), and
    5. SQL.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile development team using superior time management to triage issues and prioritize tasks.
  7. Able to clearly communicate technical issues and ideas orally and written to superiors and subordinates across all engineering disciplines.
