Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Software Test Engineer, Associate in Columbia, MD to support critical national security missions. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and security of the Minotaur Mission Processor across the software development life cycle.

The Software Test Engineer will execute test planning, write test cases, automate where possible, manage test data, and report results. Some travel on aircraft may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Linux environment is required.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or related languages.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance (Secret).

Responsibilities

• Devise and apply testing procedures for Minotaur product and external vendors.
• Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements and potential problems.
• Test creation, development, execution, and closure.
• Analyze test results for database impacts, errors, and usability.
• Perform moderately complex analysis and troubleshooting.
• Design manual and automated test procedures.
• Prepare reports on testing activities for the design team.
• Support system integration events on various aircraft during ground/flight tests.
