Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Division, Warfare Systems (WS) in Columbia, MD seeks Software Engineers at multiple levels. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software for the Minotaur Mission Processor, ensuring integration of sensors to create a COP for national security missions.

Role supports hybrid work in Columbia, MD with opportunities to travel 10–20%. Candidates should have 5 years with a Bachelor’s or 3 years with a Master’s, or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field
• 3 years relevant experience with a Master’s in related field
• 0 years experience with PhD or JD in related field OR 9 years with High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience working within a Linux environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• System design and software implementation of proof-of-concept prototypes incorporating multiple engineering disciplines
• Develop software interfaces to control and collect data from sensors
• Support prototype evaluation and experimental operations at military facilities
• Assist with transitions of capabilities to government and system integration events on aircraft
• Travel between 10–20% of the time
