Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of software verification experience in medical devices.
• Knowledge of IEC-62304 and FDA guidance.
• Experience creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
• Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets regulatory needs.
• Strong documentation practices.
• Experience using test case management tools (Polarion, TFS, TestRail, JAMA, Matrix).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Master’s degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Test the functionality and performance of the systems software.
• Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer II to join our Medical Device client's team. This role is essential in supporting the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced medical devices.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Medical Product verification, IEC-62304 and FDA guidance in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field) with a minimum of 2 years of software verification experience.
• Strong understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
• Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs.
• Strong understanding of good documentation practices
• Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Polarion, TFS, TestRail, JAMA, Matrix, etc).
• Ability to manage, track and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++/C# or similar languages
• Experience debugging hardware with tools such as oscilloscope and function generators
• Experience writing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts in Python or a comparable language.
• Experience should include automating functional, regression, and system-level test cases; working with test frameworks and reusable test libraries; analyzing logs and test results; debugging failures; and integrating automated tests into the broader verification workflow.
• Experience writing technical reports
• Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
• Experience with software version control systems, such as BitBucket/Git
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
