Job summary

RTX is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer II to design, implement, and execute tests for the Patriot Software Team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. This onsite role collaborates with software developers, system architects, and product leads to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and perform under real-world conditions.

Qualified candidates will have a STEM bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in software engineering or testing, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience with Software Engineering.
• Experience in Validation, Verification, Requirements Analysis and/or Testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review Software Requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
• Write test objectives and design test cases (manual and automated).
• Execute test cases in our on-site lab environment.
• Analyze test results and document discrepancies.
• Collaborate with test engineers and developers for integration.
• This position requires onsite presence and interaction with multiple groups.
• Off hours testing on 2nd or 3rd shift may be required.
