Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join an independent test team in Huntsville. You will craft test strategies, define test conditions and phases, and execute operational, functional, and performance tests across multiple projects.

The role requires a solid background in Agile testing, hands-on automation with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, and DevOps CI/CD experience. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, C++ (17+), and Python is expected, with a Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software, computer or electrical engineering and 3+ years' work experience.
• Experience in Agile Software Testing or Agile Software Development.
• Hands-on test environment setup, manual testing, and test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver).
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with C++ (17+) and Python.
• Experience analyzing test data and producing test, risks and defect reports.
• Background in software and hardware integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration across teams.
• Candidate must possess a Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an independent software test team on one or more projects.
• Create test strategies for software products across projects.
• Determine conditions, sequences, and phases of test operations.
• Exercise operational, functional, and performance tests.
• Resolve testing problems with science, engineering and technical staff.
• Analyze and interpret test data and prepare technical reports for engineers and management.
• Write, implement, and report status for system tests.
