Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Software Test Engineer on-site in San Diego, CA to support a mobile user application in an agile environment. You will perform manual and automated testing across UI and backend components, author test documentation, and collaborate with developers, testers, and system engineers to support Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python or JavaScript scripting for testing.
• Experience implementing regression testing for software.
• Experience with performance and other non-functional testing.
• Familiarity or experience with automated test tools.
• Effective communication with Product Owners and software developers.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• DoD 8570 approved security certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to quickly become proficient in new tools and technologies.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Experience with issue tracking systems such as VersionOne or Jira.
• Experience with continuous integration environments such as Jenkins.
• Proficiency with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Agile certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices is desired.

• Participate in agile planning, analysis and design events, and reviews.
• Verify quality checks and acceptance criteria before code merges.
• Report bugs and test results completely and on time.

• Contribute to product design reviews with input on requirements, design, schedules, and risks.
• Write testing documentation and finalize system and software documentation CDRLs.
• Work within Agile Scrum methodologies.

Our client seeks a Software Test Engineer to support a mobile user application in an agile environment. The role will ensure product quality through manual and automated testing across user interface and backend components. The engineer will collaborate with system engineers, developers, and testers to author test documentation and support agile ceremonies.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Secret clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
