Job summary

OneAmerica Financial in Indianapolis seeks a Software Test Analyst Lead to elevate testing practices across the QA competency. You will mentor team members, evangelize best practices, and implement new testing tools and frameworks.

You will collaborate with delivery teams, lead peer reviews, and help ensure on-time, high-quality solutions while aligning with SDLC and Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline recommended.
• 10+ years experience creating and managing software quality deliverables, processes and tools.
• Master knowledge of software testing methodology, including test plans, debugging and testing scripts.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills with QA community.
• Ability to design and implement testing best practices and patterns.
• Experience implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.

Job Summary

Software Test Analyst Lead is responsible for improving the skills of each member of the competency through technical leadership and active mentoring. This is done by evangelizing best practices and constantly evaluating and implementing new practices, tools, and technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness of their competency.

The Lead has the responsibility of providing tactical leadership in regard to software testing best practices. To this end, the Practice Lead must continuously be researching industry trends and translating them to action items for the competency team members to learn and implement.

Primary Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Representing the SQA community on various governance committees
• Work with delivery teams to pilot new practices
• Evaluating implementation of best practices
• Facilitating knowledge transfer forums
• Participate in industry forums
• Troubleshoot when project deliverables are delayed or do not meet quality standards, providing an assessment on procedural or other changes necessary to improve consistent delivery of solutions on-time and within quality standards
• Have good knowledge on the SDLC phases of the project and have prior experience of performing peer reviews
• Collaborate with other competency Practice Leads to bring about improved cross-functional delivery patterns

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline recommended
• 10+ years of experience creating and managing software quality deliverables, processes, and tools
• Master knowledge of software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
• Superb communication and mentoring skills with the ability to connect with members of the Software Quality Assurance community
• Ability to design and implement best practices and design patterns for software engineering in testing
• Experience implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and able to synthesize the results
• Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies

Salary Band: 7B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
