Job summary

IDEMIA National Security Solutions is seeking a Software Systems Integration Engineer with a well-rounded engineering background in Linux systems, platform operations, infrastructure automation, DevOps, and systems integration. This role supports deployment, automation, modernization, monitoring, and sustainment of mission-critical biometric and identity management systems.

Location: DC or Morgantown, WV preferred. Remote will be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, platform engineering, and DevOps.
• Experience supporting Linux-based production systems and automated deployments.
• Experience using Ansible in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing or supporting monitoring and alerting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities including troubleshooting, software updates, system monitoring, and support.
• Integrate software with biometric and identity management systems, databases, hardware, and third-party products.
• Architect software and systems integration across applications, cloud services, hardware, and external systems.
• Support deployment and lifecycle management using RPM-based methods and container/cloud-native deployment evolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation using Ansible, IaC, and scripting for installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, deployment, and workflows.
• Administer and support Linux-based environments (production, development, test).
• Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and release processes to improve deployment reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve deployment reliability.
• Support platform reliability, capacity planning, and incident response.
