Job summary

IDEMIA National Security Solutions (NSS) is seeking a Software Systems Integration Engineer with a well-rounded engineering background in Linux systems, platform operations, infrastructure automation, DevOps, and systems integration. This role supports deployment, automation, modernization, monitoring, and sustainment of mission-critical biometric and identity management systems.

Remote work is possible. Location: Alexandria, VA or Morgantown, WV; preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of systems engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps experience.
• 2+ years software engineering experience.
• Experience supporting Linux-based production systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated deployment solutions.
• Experience using Ansible in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing or supporting system monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues in production.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities including troubleshooting, updates, monitoring, and operational support.
• Integrate software with biometric and identity management systems and databases.
• Architect integration solutions across apps, databases, cloud services, hardware, and external systems.
• Support deployment and lifecycle management with RPM-based methods while moving toward containerized/cloud-native deployments.
• Design and maintain automation using Ansible, IaC, and scripting for installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and deployment workflows.
• Administer and support Linux-based production, development, and test environments.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines across development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve deployment reliability and efficiency.
• Support platform reliability, capacity planning, and incident response.
