Job summary

Cardinal Technology Systems, Corp is a government IT solutions provider seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support federal and commercial initiatives across the United States. The role requires IT-II security clearance or NACLC, and 8+ years of relevant experience.

Under minimal direction you will analyze, design, develop, test, and integrate system software, assist with hardware/software conversions, and work with customers to gather requirements and provide documentation.

Qualifications

• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current NACLC.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology).

Responsibilities

• Under minimal direction, provide specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines.
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, and user support.
• Assist in planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.
• Maintain, debug and configure related software products.
• Provide operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.
• Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications; assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation.
• Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve OS efficiency.
• Prepare product documentation and interface with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems.

Summary

• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
• Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, and applications implications.
• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.
• Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products.
• Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.
• Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
• Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
• Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system.
• Prepares product documentation.
• Interfaces with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems.

• Experience working from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications is preferred.
• Experience assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs is preferred.
• Experience coordinating with system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve operating system efficiency is preferred.
• Experience preparing product documentation is preferred.
• Experience interfacing with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems is preferred.
