Job summary

Cardinal Technology Systems, Corp. seeks a Software Systems Engineer with IT-II/NACLC clearance to support government initiatives and commercial clients across the United States.

You will analyze, design, test, and support complex operating system software and participate in hardware/software planning and upgrades. Under minimal direction, you will deliver specialized expertise, document programs, and coordinate with customer teams to define requirements and improve system efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must possess IT-II security clearance or NACLC, U.S. citizenship and clean background.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems field.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized expertise across systems and software disciplines.
• Perform in-depth analysis and support of systems software products, including problem resolution, design, testing, and user support.
• Assist in planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.
• Maintain and debug software products; evaluate performance and plan hardware upgrades.
• Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation of programs.
• Interface with system support groups to resolve problems and improve OS efficiency.
• Prepare product documentation and gather system requirements from customers.

Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Software Systems Engineer to work for our company.

Summary

• Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)


• Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, and applications implications.


• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.


• Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.


• Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products.


• Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.


• Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.


• Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.


• Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system.


• Prepares product documentation.


• Interfaces with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems.

Requirements
