Job summary

ITility LLC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency program. This is a remote position on Eastern Time, with key personnel identified for a proposal submission.

The role focuses on analyzing requirements, implementing software fixes, troubleshooting across layers, and maintaining documentation while ensuring security and compliance. Ideal candidates will hold an Active Secret Clearance, have eight or more years in a related field, and possess the IT-II

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Eight years of experience in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology).
• IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) investigation in place at proposal submission.
• Available to start on 4 January 2027 and willing to sign a Letter of Commitment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and design changes to existing applications and components.
• Modify, build, test and deploy software fixes and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues across application, database and infrastructure layers.
• Support security patching, vulnerability remediation and technology refresh.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and design records.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engineering DLA or other DoD enterprise systems
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems

Work Environment:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based work using standard office equipment.
• Requires frequent verbal communication, active listening, and visual acuity to perform job responsibilities effectively.
• Must follow site-specific safety, security, and dress standards.
