Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Chantilly, VA seeks a Software Expert I to provide advisory and analytical support on software requirements, architecture, and oversight within a SETA environment, interfacing with government staff and contractors.

Key duties include analyzing requirements, reviewing deliverables for compliance, maintaining technical documentation, participating in technical reviews and stakeholder meetings, and tracking risks.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
• 1–4 years of experience supporting software‑intensive systems or technical programs.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, DevSecOps, or waterfall).
• Exposure to requirements management or technical review processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements, architectures, and design documentation.
• Assist with review of contractor software deliverables for compliance with requirements and standards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation (requirements matrices, technical assessments, briefings).
• Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
• Track software risks, issues, and action items under senior guidance.
• Coordinate between government stakeholders and development contractors.
