Job summary

Compassion International is seeking an entry-level technical support role focused on developing and monitoring applications that measure the effectiveness of child development programs. You’ll configure surveys with YAML, run surveys via command-line, and contribute to process improvements while collaborating with data monitoring specialists and engineers.

This is a remote, full-time, temporary position for eight months.

• Supports application software development by creating VS Code and providing technical assistance for existing architecture or new deployments.
• Follows simple program logic for new applications or makes simple modifications to logic in existing applications.
• Maintains software applications through coding, testing, writing test plans, and documentation.
• Follows strategies around existing technology products to ensure expected results and customer benefit.
• Provides technical support throughout the lifecycle of customer-specific technology-based products, primarily cloud or purchased applications.
• Contributes to cross-functional project teams in data process, governance, and application systems.

The expected salary range for this position is $29.29 - $35.11. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview

Would you like to be part of a team working to release children from poverty in Jesus' name? In this entry-level role, you would be part of a team providing technical support and development of applications that allow us to monitor the effectiveness of our child development programs.This includes configuring survey content with YAML, generating surveys with command-line execution, committing work using established source control methods,testing output of this work,as well as identifying opportunities for process improvement.You would be working closely with data monitoring specialists and data engineers.

Please note: This is a remote, full-time, temporary position for 8 months.

What will you do?

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion's ministry in prayer.
• Acts as an advocate for children. Understands and advances Christ's mandate to protect children. Raises awareness of the needs of children and takes active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children. Promotes the dignity, respect, positive treatment, potential of children in all circumstances. Encourages the involvement of others in helping children in need. Reports and appropriately supports responses to incidents of harm of children if they occur.
