Job summary

Storage Solutions in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Software Support Engineer to join our Automation department. You will be the first line of support for our Invar Warehouse System (IWS) and work closely with customers to diagnose and resolve software issues.

The role involves travel up to 25% for on-site commissioning and testing at customer sites, plus helping test new releases. Strong communication and Windows/C# skills are valued in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Windows environments.
• Experience with C# .NET is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of support via phone and email for customers experiencing issues with our Invar Warehouse System (IWS) software.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues with IWS software packages.
• Maintain, track, and elevate support tickets as needed to ensure timely resolutions.
• Monitor customer production environments to identify and proactively address potential issues.
• Assist in testing new software releases and custom implementations, providing valuable feedback to the development team.
• Set up internal development PCs and test servers to support new implementations.
• Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to deliver hands-on, on-site support, including commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automated warehouse equipment.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• A recommended degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A working knowledge of SQL (preferred but not required) and experience with Windows environments (required).
• Experience with C# .NET is a plus.
• An ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

WORK CONDITIONS

• Travel up to 25% annually (domestic and international)
• Participate in the team’s ongoing 24/7 support of Invar customers (compensation provided).
