Software Solutions Engineer
Packsize is a leading provider of packaging solutions for businesses worldwide. We specialize in creating on-demand packaging systems that help our customers optimize their packaging process, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Solution Engineers, Software Developers, and Software Integration Engineers to provide technical expertise and develop software solutions that enhance the customer experience.
The Software Solutions Engineer is responsible for the support of the sales, integration & implementation process by providing technical knowledge to internal and external clients as well as potential clients. They will develop integration solutions, coordinating applications across the customer’s enterprise or its units/departments. They will also evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs and be directly responsible for the diagnosis, configuration, deployment and support of Packsize during all steps of the sales and implementation cycles. This person will act as a critical link between customer, implementation teams and product development teams and will be familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Warehouse Management Systems. The Software Solution Engineer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. You will also work hand in hand with the customer, during the diagnostic phase to understand their challenges, design a solution and hand off to Software Integration Engineers for implementation.
About the Role:
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand customer requirements and design software solutions that meet their needs.
- Develop and implement software solutions and integrations to enhance the functionality and performance of Packsize's packaging systems.
- Configure existing software solutions to meet specific customer requirements and integrate them seamlessly with their existing infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Packsize's software products and solutions, staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Sales, Solution Engineers, and Software Integration Engineers during presales activities, demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Conduct thorough testing of software solutions to ensure high quality deliverables.
Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer pain points and develop software solutions that address their challenges effectively.
- Assist Sales Team and Solution Engineers in showcasing the value of Packsize's software solutions to prospective customers, focusing on the benefits they provide in improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Work closely with Software Integration Engineers to ensure smooth software integration with existing systems, providing a seamless experience for the customer.
Documentation and Training:
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including process flow diagrams and solution overview guides, to facilitate the adoption and usage of Packsize's software solutions.
- Participate in and lead training sessions and workshops for internal teams, including Sales, Solution Engineers, and Software Integration Engineers, to enhance their understanding of Packsize's software products and their technical capabilities.
Cross Functional Requirements:
- Act as subject matter expert to software product teams, providing comprehensive analysis of industry trends and emerging software requirements.
- Deliver future product requirements to software product teams for market analysis and feasibility assessment.
- Deliver finalized solutions to software integration teams for implementation.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is required, advanced degrees preferred.
- Prior experience integrating and implementing cross platform software solutions preferred.
- Prior experience with networking/I.T. systems preferred.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, WMS, or CRM systems preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel up to 25%

What We Offer:
The salary range for this role is $100k-$130k however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
