Job summary

Trideum Corporation in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Software Simulation Engineer to join our growing team. You will develop and integrate modern simulation environments and ensure reliable data flows across multiple systems in a shared workspace.

The role requires a strong background in engineering or computer science, five+ years in simulation software, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. You will collaborate in Agile Scrum settings and utilize containerization and cloud DevSecOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS or related technical field.
• 5+ years in simulation software development and system integration.
• Experience with real-time and distributed simulation frameworks.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modeling and simulation software for training and mission scenarios.
• Build and integrate simulation models for sensors, aircraft, communications, and related system components.
• Implement distributed simulation behaviors and interfaces using standard protocols.
• Support scenario creation, mission control workflows, and startup sequencing.
• Integrate communications simulation, image generation, and synthetic sensor products into training scenarios.
• Conduct software and system-level integration testing across components and interfaces.
• Collaborate with systems engineering for interface compliance.
• Participate in Agile Scrum development activities.

Position Summary

The Software Simulation Engineer supports the development and integration of modern simulation environments responsible for the architecture and integration of multiple information technology systems within a shared simulation environment This role ensures reliable and cohesive operation of data flows interfaces and services by applying established technologies and advanced engineering principles to solve technical challenges effectively

What Youll Do

• Develop and maintain modeling and simulation software for training and mission based scenarios
• Build and integrate simulation models for sensors aircraft communications and related system components
• Implement distributed simulation behaviors and interfaces using standard protocols
• Support scenario creation mission control workflows and system startup sequencing
• Integrate communications simulation image generation and synthetic sensor products into training scenarios
• Conduct software and system level integration testing across simulation components and communication interfaces
• Collaborate with systems engineering to ensure technical alignment and interface compliance
• Participate in AgileScrum development activities

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or a related technical field
• Minimum of five years of experience in simulation software development and system integration
• Strong programming skills
• Knowledge of real time and distributed simulation frameworks
• Familiarity with distributed simulation protocols DIS HLA or similar
• Experience with AgileScrum development practices
• Experience with containerization technologies Docker Kubernetes OpenShift or similar
• Experience working in cloud based DevSecOps environments using CICD pipelines GitLab CI Azure DevOps Jenkins or similar
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as OneSAF AFSIM MUSE MAK ONE or similar
• Familiarity with UAS systems or aviation system architectures
• Experience integrating radios VoIP systems and networked training interfaces
• Experience with terrain geospatial or image generation tools
