Job summary

RTX Life Cycle Engineering in Massachusetts seeks a Software Safety Engineer II to join the Land & Air Defense Systems safety team in Tewksbury, MA. You will ensure software components meet safety standards and work with diverse teams to uphold product safety.

The role involves analyzing software/firmware to MIL-STD-882E, coordinating with management and government authorities, and assisting with safety assessments and reviews throughout development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant engineering or data analysis experience.
• Experience with Computer Science, Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical or Firmware Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering software and firmware to MIL-STD-882E and other standards.
• Review and analyze embedded software code with development teams.
