Job summary

IPolarity is seeking a Software Quality Engineer in Irving, TX ( onsite ). The candidate should have 6–8 years of enterprise QA experience with strong Retail and POS domain background.

Responsibilities include designing comprehensive test strategies and executing functional, integration, system, and end-to-end tests across Kubernetes deployments. Proficiency in API testing (REST/SOAP), SQL/NoSQL validation, and Java or Python test automation is required.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of enterprise QA experience.
• Retail/POS domain experience required.
• Strong API testing skills (REST/SOAP).
• SQL/NoSQL database validation experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes and distributed applications testing.
• BDD and test automation using Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Test applications deployed on Kubernetes environments.
• Validate scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
• Develop and drive BDD practices.
• Perform API, database, and system integration testing.
• Test POS workflows, transaction flows, and retail scenarios.
• Analyze logs for root-cause analysis.
• Manage defects through identification, prioritization, tracking and closure.
