POSITION SUMMARY:

At Natera, we revolutionize the world of medicine by developing genetics products that combine cutting-edge technology and science. We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer with experience in testing data products to join our team. The ideal candidate will help develop software that is extensible, testable, and self-documenting.

No biology background is required, making this an excellent opportunity for a skilled Software Quality Engineer to bring their expertise into the Life Science Industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The basics

• Perform software verification, define and execute test cases and scenarios for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain a data-driven test automation framework using automation tools and libraries.
• Debug and analyze product issues or defects.
• Promote new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools to improve test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers throughout the SDLC to embed quality into the development process.

The fun things

• Develop testing strategies for the Clinicogenomics platform.
• Select testing automation tools for the platform.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience testing front-end and server-side functionality of complex n-tier systems.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare IT experience is beneficial but not required.
• Experience in regulated environments is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong SQL skills and extensive knowledge of relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with front-end test automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, ScalaTest, etc.
• Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as Python.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and product integration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Primarily office-based, currently remote or at-home.
• Work with remote teams across time zones.
• Must meet physical demands such as talking, hearing, standing, walking, and using hands.

The compensation range is listed below and varies based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location. In other locations, it may differ due to labor costs.

Remote USA: $94,300—$117,900 USD
