Job summary

Knapp Software seeks a qualified QA/Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test cases for our software products. You will organize meetings with SW Commissioning and Development, integrate test suites, and support customer training at office or customer sites.

The role requires Linux expertise, C++/Java knowledge, SQL/PL-SQL, and strong documentation skills. You will configure simulators, maintain test VMs, and contribute to test automation and process improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong knowledge of C++ or Java development.
SQL and PL-SQL experience is required.
Experience with Linux.
Work in a mixed Linux and Windows environment.
Knowledge of one scripting language: Bash, Perl, or Python.
Solid understanding of network infrastructures.
Knowledge of logistical workflows and processes.
Knowledge of current software development technologies and design patterns.
Ability to create workflows and sequence diagrams and implement accordingly.
Strong knowledge in databases, process development, or UI/HMI development.
Knowledge of Knapp software implementation process.

Responsibilities

Create and execute test cases for new developments.
Organize and lead project meetings with SW Commissioning and Development.
Integrate selected test cases into a standard set of test cases for the product.
Organize, prepare, and test software in the office and at customer sites.
Train and support customers on software and logistics issues.
Configure simulator and maintain test VMs.
Lead cross-product testing efforts and document results.
Create anomaly reports in bug tracking system and support WMS projects.
