Job summary

KLA is seeking a Software Quality Engineer in Milpitas, CA, to own end-to-end testing for system-level software on hardware-integrated semiconductor products. You will design and execute automated and manual tests, ensuring coverage across UI and API layers, while collaborating with engineering, hardware, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires strong programming and data handling skills, plus experience in test planning and root-cause analysis. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with related work experience.
• Strong software testing and system-level understanding for hardware-integrated semiconductor products.
• Experience with UI and API test automation and data-driven testing.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing activities for key project features as an individual contributor.
• Perform automation testing with a balanced mix of manual testing for software-hardware integration.
• Lead test planning, strategy, and execution across multiple stakeholder teams (engineering, hardware, manufacturing, etc.).
• Develop and publish robust automated test suites and results, with actionable recommendations.
