Job summary

Kane Partners LLC is seeking a hands-on Software QA Engineer to ensure quality, stability, and performance of software in demanding communications environments. You will test across mobile, web, backend, and external integrations, and contribute to automation and QA process improvements.

The role requires experience in functional, integration, and regression testing, familiarity with Jira, Linux environments, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

Enjoy digging into software issues, testing complex applications, and making sure technology works the way it should?

We're looking for a hands-on Software QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, stability, and performance of software solutions used in demanding communications environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct testing across mobile applications, web-based platforms, backend systems, and external integrations.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze application behavior, troubleshoot defects, and investigate technical logs to uncover root causes.
• Develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and validation documentation.
• Assist with automation initiatives and identify opportunities to strengthen QA processes.
• Monitor defects, test results, and quality metrics to support reliable software releases.
• Partner with developers and product teams to identify issues and drive solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in software quality assurance and application testing.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, and regression testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira or comparable defect management platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting applications and analyzing system/server logs.
• Exposure to Linux environments and test automation.
• Strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Telecommunications or communications software experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SIP, 3GPP, PTT, APIs, or complex system integrations is a plus.

Schedule: Hybrid – onsite every Tuesday and Wednesday (both days required).

Work Authorization: Candidates must have independent authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship of any kind.
