We are seeking a skilled Software QA Engineer with a strong focus on test automation to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical business applications. In this remote role, you will lead testing activities across complex software releases, from test planning and strategy to execution, defect management, and reporting. You will collaborate with software developers, infrastructure specialists, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications that meet user requirements and established standards. • Define appropriate test strategies, methodologies, and testing types to validate application functionality, usability, security, and performance while ensuring compliance with established software quality assurance standards and processes.

  • Manage end-to-end testing projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely completion of deliverables across individual projects or multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Perform complex testing assignments involving system integrations, performance testing when required, and data migration between databases or systems during major implementations and releases.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application development teams to establish, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments.

  • Communicate testing issues to development team leads and managers, support defect triage and resolution, recommend design or architectural improvements, and identify opportunities to enhance applications and processes.

  • Represent the software quality assurance function in application and project teams, software development discussions, project planning sessions, and requirements-gathering meetings.

  • Partner with project managers to define testing tasks, estimate effort, coordinate schedules, communicate progress, and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Track and report quality assurance metrics, including requirements coverage, test case readiness, execution progress, and defect counts, using the designated test management tools.

  • Develop and maintain automated test cases using a C#-based automation framework, integrating suitable tests into nightly automation runs.

  • Monitor automated test results daily, investigate failures, and log defects when necessary to maintain reliable and repeatable testing coverage.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, test results, and test summary reports.

  • Apply industry testing practices and relevant FDA guidelines and standards when evaluating application quality and compliance.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues on complex testing activities, automation approaches, and quality assurance best practices.

  • Support cloud security, identity management, compliance, and automation infrastructure processes, considering their dependencies across application environments.
