Job summary

BBG Ventures, LLC is seeking a Software QA Engineer on a contract basis for an on-site role in Norcross, GA. The candidate will develop and execute cybersecurity test plans across cloud environments, APIs, and IoT devices, and help ensure secure communications and architecture.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent, 8–10+ years' experience, strong Python, cloud, and networking knowledge, plus experience with testing tools such as Burp Suite, Fiddler, Wireshark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience required; 10+ years if candidate has certification.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Deep understanding of TLS/SSL, PKI, and certificate management.
• Strong experience with Python scripting for automation and testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and secure architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with API testing, traffic interception, and debugging tools.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute cybersecurity test plans based on product requirements and design specs.
• Validate security across cloud environments, backend services, APIs, and IoT devices.
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot security issues with tools like Wireshark, OpenSSL, proxy frameworks.
• Perform API security testing, traffic interception, and replay analysis using Burp Suite or Fiddler.
• Validate TLS 1.2/1.3 and mTLS certificate-based authentication.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Document test results, defects, and risk assessments clearly.

Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.

We are seeking a Software QA Engineer on acontract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Norcross, GA.

Work Setting

Min 3 days a week from office

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute cybersecurity test plans based on product requirements, architecture, and design specifications

Skills And Qualifications

• With Bachelors, minimum 8 years of experience is required and minimum 10 years experience is required, if candidate has certification/no degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IoT, embedded systems, or connected devices (medical device experience a strong plus)


• Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune, MECM)


• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)


• Experience with DevSecOps tools and CI/CD pipelines


• Familiarity with security assessment tools (ScoutSuite, Prowler, Snyk, etc.)


• Experience with test management tools (Jira, Xray)


• Understanding of regulatory environments (medical device design controls is a plus)
