Job summary

Gcore is seeking a Software Engineer for the Billing Team to maintain and enhance the Billing Engine, a core component for financial transactions across our global services.

You will build backend features in Python/Django, optimize SQL and workflows, define REST APIs, and participate in architecture discussions for a scalable distributed system and delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and Python/Django.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and SQL optimization.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and Celery for async tasks.
• API design and consumption, CI/CD, observability, and basic DevOps.
• Proficient English, remote collaboration in a global team.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes, Agile, TDD, billing/payments.

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our Billing Team that maintains and supports Gcore's Billing Engine - a crucial and highly integrated system essential for managing financial transactions and supporting the seamless delivery of our global services. Your work will significantly influence our financial operations' efficiency and reliability, underpinning the company's robust infrastructure and facilitating our ongoing growth.

• Build and maintain efficient back-end features in Python together with a production team
• Improve application performance and reliability
• Define REST APIs and integrate them into our solutions
• Play a role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient distributed application and services architecture, and improving delivery pipelines and processes

Требования:

Strong knowledge of software development principles and a thorough understanding of the entire software development lifecycle. Expertise in Python programming and significant experience with the Django framework. Extensive experience working with relational databases, particularly Postgres, writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries. Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ) and asynchronous task queues (Celery). Proficiency in creating and consuming APIs. Understanding of modern CI/CD practices, observability tooling and basic DevOps principles. Verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate remotely with a globally distributed international team.
