Job summary

John Galt Staffing seeks an experienced Agile Team Lead to oversee multiple teams and drive smooth software deliveries. You will coordinate release schedules, manage program deliveries, and work across functions to plan and track development efforts.

A focus on governance, standards, and releasability reviews will be essential, with responsibility for a specific program or product. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive Agile experience, and familiarity with Earned Value Management

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience with an undergraduate degree, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Degree in engineering or computer science; Masters in Engineering Mgmt appreciated.
• C++ knowledge not required but desirable.
• 3+ years experience with software development methodologies.
• Proven project leadership and ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Experience as an Agile Team Lead (Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, etc.).
• 3+ years leading/managing/working within Agile teams.
• Earned Value Management experience or budgeting/tracking exposure.
• Atlassian Tools suite applications.
• Strong system and software engineering processes across a program lifecycle.

Job description

Skills:

• 5 years of professional experience with an undergraduate degree, or maybe 3 years professional experience with a Master’s degree. Will look at less but will have to be directly relevant experience
• Degree: fairly open but ideally something in the engineering/computer science field. Comp Sci, Comp Eng, Software Eng, Systems Eng, EE, or ME. A masters in Engineering Mgmt is nice.
• Knowing C++ is not a requirement but nice to have. Skills fall under this (not all required, but definitely desired)
• Three or more years' experience with software development methodologies
• Demonstrated project leadership skills, ability to work independently and lead team [Required]
• Experience as an Agile Team Lead (Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, etc.)
• 3 or more years leading/managing/working within teams in an Agile environment [Required]
• Earned Value Management experience (if they don’t have this but have managed project budgets and tracked them they can learn)
• Atlassian Tools suite applications
• Well versed with system and software engineering processes throughout a program lifecycle
