Job summary

EndoQuest Robotics is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead cross-functional software development in a regulated medical device environment. You will organize workflows, drive accountability, and ensure timely delivery while aligning with regulatory commitments.

You will bring Jira expertise, Agile mindset, and strong communication to coordinate engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations teams. This role offers a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience supporting software development teams within the medical device industry.
• Proficiency with Jira administration, workflows, dashboards, reporting, and Agile planning tools.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and software development lifecycle processes.
• Experience managing software development projects with multiple cross-functional dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks, resolve blockers, and drive execution across teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and build alignment across functional groups.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day planning, tracking, and coordination of software development activities.
• Build and maintain Jira workflows, dashboards, reporting, and metrics to drive visibility and consistency.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Align software priorities with company objectives, system milestones, and regulatory commitments.
• Monitor progress, risks, blockers, and resource needs; communicate clearly to leadership.
• Serve as Jira subject matter expert, driving best practices and consistent adoption across teams.
• Strengthen visibility into dependencies, critical path, risks, and technical debt.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and clinical teams.
• Identify and resolve dependencies, gaps, and execution risks; escalates where needed.
• Drive accountability and ensure timely closure of actions and deliverables.
• Track end-to-end software lifecycle progress, from requirements through testing and defect resolution.
• Ensure testing activities are planned, executed, documented, and traceable.
• Support release planning and configuration management.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthens alignment between Agile practices and Design Control requirements.

THE ROLE:

This role is at the center of cross-functional collaboration, partnering closely with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Verification & Validation, and Product Development teams. You’ll play a key part in ensuring software development efforts are thoughtfully planned, clearly tracked, well-documented, and executed with precision.

The ideal candidate is someone who brings strong expertise in Jira and Agile methodologies, along with a deep understanding of project management best practices in a regulated medical device environment. In this role, you’ll bring structure and clarity to complex development efforts—organizing workflows, identifying gaps or misalignment, and driving accountability across teams. You’ll also manage cross-functional dependencies and help keep both software deliverables and design control documentation progressing smoothly and on schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
