Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Niles, IL is seeking a Software Product Manager to own the WaveTool application within Shure's platform ecosystem. This hands-on role requires defining requirements, collaborating with engineering and design, and managing the product backlog to deliver high-value features that meet customer needs.

You will balance device support, feature delivery, technical debt, and platform integrations while partnering with marketing and sales for go-to-market plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, computer science, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of product management experience, including software apps or SaaS.
• Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with requirements management, backlog tracking and bug tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and prioritize the WaveTool backlog and translate customer needs into actionable stories.
• Develop a near-term product roadmap balancing device support, features, tech debt, and integrations.
• Write detailed PRDs, acceptance criteria, and specs with engineering and UX teams.
• Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and UX/design throughout development for high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate with platform, firmware, and hardware teams for ecosystem integration.
• Support go-to-market planning, product positioning, and customer communications for WaveTool releases.
• Serve as primary voice of the customer through user research and direct engagement.
• Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark WaveTool and identify differentiators.
• Define product questions to answer via data analytics and instrumentation.
• Ensure WaveTool aligns with platform strategy, including ShureCloud and connectivity requirements.
• Support interoperability with third-party systems and platform-wide consistency.
• Define release criteria and collaborate with QA for quality standards.
• Monitor post-launch performance and coordinate rapid responses to issues.
