Job summary

Shure in Niles, IL is seeking a Product Manager to champion the development of new wireless products. You will gather customer insights, draft requirements with engineering, analyze data, and guide pricing and forecasts to shape the product roadmap.

You will work with global teams, travel up to 25%, and contribute to product strategy and marketing plans while leveraging a strong background in marketing or product management for technical products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of wide-ranging experience in marketing or product management of a technical product with responsibility for results, including costs and methods.
• Knowledge of audio systems is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse factors and current business trends.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Global Marketing and Sales Division during product development projects, ensuring product attributes create a positive end-user value proposition.
• Initiates and participates in market research to define target segments and product positioning for new product development efforts.
• Writes detailed functional requirements for product development teams, ensuring clarity on success measures and possible technical specs.
• Provides forecast and pricing analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Formulates and communicates the value proposition to global marketing teams.
• Executes Alpha and Beta testing with end users and analyzes findings to determine next steps.
• Reviews user documentation for accuracy regarding product features and usage.
• Provides internal training on operation, performance, and ordering conventions; serves as product champion at trade exhibitions.
• Maintains knowledge of worldwide market for competitive products and validates requirements with end users.
