About the Role
The Product Manager will be a key contributor to Eos’ product development path to realize a growing battery energy storage product portfolio based on Eos’ unique battery technology.
Accountable For
Product managers will align product drivers with Eos product strategies and development roadmap, maintain a stable product platform, and contribute to next‑generation product features.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify product gaps, industry trends, and customer pain points through rigorous market research.
- Focus on opportunities for product differentiation and growth.
- Quantify the value of new product features to define Minimum Viable Products and road‑maps.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Projects, Field Service, and Engineering organizations to present current product capabilities and future timelines.
- Translate business strategy into detailed requirements for software engineering teams.
- Obtain stakeholder buy‑in across the organization.
- Participate in customer meetings with Sales/Business Development/Commercial teams to advise on product capabilities.
- Coordinate development, testing, and release between internal and external stakeholders to ensure release commitments are met.
- Write business cases, user stories, market and product requirements documents.
- Create or lead transition materials for platform and software introductions, including onboarding stakeholders.
- Design and build operational processes to support engineering teams toward product delivery.
- Visit customer installations and production facilities as needed.
- Manage multiple initiatives concurrently, both minor and major.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Direct knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and software platforms/products in the ESS industry.
- Strong organizing skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Facilitate agile team meetings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including stakeholder presentations.
- People management skills; supervising direct reports such as Technical Project Managers.
- Ability to keep team members accountable in a matrixed organization.
- Understanding of balancing product costs, features, and development/launch schedules.
- Passion for solving complex problems creatively and innovatively.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related field (required).
- MBA or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management or related area.
Travel
- Local travel: 10-25%.
- Overnight/North America travel: 10-25%.
Working Conditions
- Office Environment: primarily stationary (50% of time), occasional navigation of office infrastructure.
- An occasional lifting of up to 25-50 pounds may be required.
- Worker may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, mists, gases; noise levels can be loud.
- Machinery operation requires safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, lab coats.
- Visits to customer or partner locations (office, manufacturing floor, laboratory, construction sites) may be required.
