Job summary

Visionist, Inc. seeks a Software Product Lead with TS/SCI clearance to guide a funded PRIME contract product.

You will combine hands-on technical leadership with team management across the full lifecycle—from requirements gathering and architecture to development, deployment, and sustainment—working with users and stakeholders to deliver mission-ready capabilities. You will coordinate multiple engineering teams, mentor engineers, and drive AI-driven solutions, collaborating with cyber analysts

Qualifications

  • 12 years of software development experience.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Experience gathering requirements from customers and users.
  • Production-grade software development in Python, Java, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to identify automation opportunities.
  • Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options.
  • Advise customers on AI investment strategies and resource allocation.
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies and promote adoption of innovative capabilities.

Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Software Product Lead on our largest PRIME contract. We are seeking an experienced technical leader to guide one of our critical software products. In this role, you will combine hands‑on technical expertise with team leadership, working across the full software development lifecycle-from customer engagement and requirements gathering through architecture, development, deployment, and sustainment. You will work directly with users and stakeholders to understand mission needs, translate them into technical solutions, and lead engineering teams in delivering capabilities quickly and effectively.   • Solicit requirements and architect an enterprise agentic platform designed to power intelligent, autonomous workflows
  • Work directly with stakeholders, engineers, and cyber analysts to understand operational workflows and identify high‑impact automation opportunities
  • Evaluate AI models, deployment architectures, and infrastructure options to determine the optimal balance of capability, performance, and cost
  • Advise customers on AI investment strategies and resource allocation to maximize mission impact and operational effectiveness
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices, advocating for the adoption of innovative capabilities where appropriate
  • Conduct outreach and training efforts to promote adoption of AI capabilities and best practices across the user community
  • Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams by defining requirements, developing technical solutions, assigning work, and tracking execution against objectives
Requirements For Your New Career…
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
  • 12 years of experience in software development
  • Experience building, leading, and mentoring engineering teams with diverse technical backgrounds
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with customers and end users to gather requirements, advocate for change, and drive adoption of technical solutions
  • Hands on experience building and maintaining production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users
  • Production‑grade software development experience in Python, Java, or a similar programming language
  • Ability to architect, develop, and deploy software systems from concept through production
  • Experience with software version control and collaboration tools, including Git, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience with web application and user interface development principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud and containerization technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software deployment practices

Salary range:

$170,000 - $240,000
