Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Performance Analysis Engineer (Level 2 or 3) in Boulder, CO, responsible for analyzing and improving tracking, prediction, and discrimination of combat systems. Travel up to 10% and eligibility for security clearance are required.
Responsibilities include performance analysis of algorithms, space-based sensor constellations, defect tracking, and developing analysis tools in Python and MATLAB, with collaboration across engineering levels.

Location: Boulder, CO. Travel: up to 10% of the time.
Security Clearance: Secret clearance required at start. Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI is required. Preferred: Top Secret clearance.
Software Performance Analysis Engineer (Level 2 or 3) supporting the BOA/ESL Algorithms team. Responsibilities include development and analysis of specialized combat systems to improve tracking, prediction, and discrimination capabilities for emerging threats worldwide.
Basic Qualifications – Level2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline (preferred) from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree with 0‑2 years of related experience.
Basic Qualifications – Level3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline (preferred) from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD.
All candidates must have experience with Python or MATLAB, performance analysis of complex, mathematically intensive systems, Linux experience, and data analysis skills (demographics, trend identification). Knowledge of common Linux utilities (grep, awk, cat, head, etc.) is required.
Preferred qualifications:
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 – $137,600.00.
Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 – $171,000.00.
